IRGC claim attack on two vessels in Hormuz Strait, targets Bahrain's Juffair base
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that two "offending supertankers" were hit and disabled in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the IRGC, the vessels were struck after they ignored warning, turned off navigation systems and attempted to pass through "a mined route".
The statement added that the US was "inciting vessels to use an illegal route", warning that cooperation with the "aggressor enemy" would result in damage, delays in reopening the waterway and a global energy crisis.
Separately, the IRGC also claimed attacks targeting a weapons depots, a satellite communications center and a housing building for US forces at the Juffair base in Bahrain.
