Four sites in Bushehr targeted by US strikes, Iranian official says

US air strikes hit four locations in the southern Iranian city of Bushehr, Iran’s official news agency IRNA reported, quoting the province’s deputy governor.

Iranian officials also said that US strikes targeted the cities of Abadan and Mahshahr in Khuzestan province. 

The attacks struck the two cities on Monday afternoon, the report quoted Khuzestan Deputy Governor Valiollah Hayati as saying. 

Abadan is home to the Middle East’s oldest oil refinery, while Mahshahr is a key port city on Iran’s Gulf coast.
