Russia says US attacks in Iran ‘close the door’ to peace talks

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday that the resumption of US strikes on Iran “does not lead to resolution” and “closes the door” to future negotiations. 

“It’s sad because civilian infrastructure is getting damaged in Iran and in the Gulf Cooperation Council states. It’s not leading to anything good,” Iran’s Fars news agency reported Larov saying.

Iran’s IRIB news agency also reported that Lavrov criticised the US for failing to uphold its commitments in the agreement with Iran.
