Centcom officials protest against Israeli transport minister's restrictions on refueling aircrafts
Senior US Central Command (Centcom) officials have protested the to the Israeli military after Transport Minister Miri Regev ordered that no additional US refueling aircraft be allowed to land at Israelβs main international airport.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, a source familiar said US officials indicated that the decision directly undermines the operational needs of American forces in the region amid the ongoing escalation with Iran.
An Israeli military official told the newspaper that the US request is "justified" as aircrafts are a "strategic asset" and are key to joint operational plans related to Tehran.
