Trump claims Israel ‘redeploying’ in southern Lebanon during Aoun White House meeting

US President Donald Trump said on Monday during a meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the White House that Israel is currently in the process of “redeploying” to other areas in southern Lebanon as day two of their planned withdrawal from so-called “pilot zones” occupied by Israel.

When asked about reports of Israeli troops firing on the Lebanese Army attempting to deploy to one of these areas, Trump claimed he would “look into it”.
