Egypt has called on the United States to expedite the deployment of an international stabilisation force in the Gaza Strip, facilitate the full delivery of humanitarian aid, and complete the remaining steps of the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan. The appeal was made during a meeting on Thursday between Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Manila, according to a statement from Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
