Houthi spokesperson says naval blockade in Bab el-Mandeb is only against Saudi Arabia

In a post on X, the spokesperson of the Houthi movement, Mohammad Abdul Salam, stated that the Bab el-Mandeb Strait is closed only against Saudi Arabia.

"There is no closure of Bab El-Mendeb as promoted by some," Abdul Salam said.

"The stated Yemeni position is limited to a naval blockade against the Saudi party in response to its siege of Yemen," he added.
