Israeli military expands ground offensive in Lebanon

The Israeli military said it is expanding its ground offensive in southern Lebanon, with the 36th Division continuing “targeted ground operations toward key objectives.”

In a statement published on its official Telegram channel, the military said its troops carried out raids on Hezbollah sites, seized weapons and killed more than 10 fighters who “posed an immediate threat,” though it did not specify when or where the operations took place.

The statement came amid reports of heavy fighting around Khiam and Taybeh.

Hezbollah said it carried out at least 12 attacks overnight, including rocket fire on Israeli positions in and around the two towns, as cross-border clashes continue to intensify.
