The Sudanese Armed Forces said on Sunday they had secured control of the main supply route linking El Obeid, Bara, and Omdurman after capturing the strategic area of Jereikh in North Kordofan State following clashes with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Military sources told Anadolu Agency that army units had taken control of Jereikh on Sunday morning after fighting with RSF forces. According to the sources, Sudanese army units and allied forces are continuing clearing operations in areas captured over the past two days, including Bara, Jabra al-Sheikh, Umm Qurfa, and Umm Sayala, with the aim of securing the territory north of El Obeid.
