Saudi Arabia says it reserves ‘right to respond’ to drone attacks

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry has condemned recent attacks on the kingdom, stating that it reserves the right to respond to them and deter those responsible, Al Jazeera reported.

The statement came after Yemen's Houthis claimed drone attacks on Saudi Arabian oil infrastructure on Monday, framing them as retaliation for Saudi drone incursions.

On Friday, Saudi Arabian forces struck the Houthi-controlled Yemeni port city of Hodeidah.

Major-General Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, blamed the Houthis for the escalation, calling their attacks “cowardly and reckless”.
