Turkmenistan calls Ukraine’s attack on Iranian vessel ‘unacceptable’

Turkmenistan’s foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday that Ukraine’s attack against an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea on Saturday was "unacceptable".

“Turkmenistan, as a Caspian littoral state and a country with permanent neutrality recognised by the United Nations, emphasises that the Caspian Sea is a sea of peace, harmony and good-neighbourliness,” it said.

Kyiv's attack on the Iranian ship on Saturday killed at least one sailor and injured several others, according to the Iranian foreign ministry.
