Oman proposes to Iran joint regional measure to manage Hormuz Strait

Oman presented Iran a proposal for a joint regional mechanism to manage the Strait of Hormuz with voluntary fees, Reuters  reported citing a Gulf source. 

The source indicated that under the Omani proposal, whi has regional backing, Tehran would not exercise sole control of the waterway.
