Libya’s grand mufti calls on Muslims to back Iran, says no concept of neutrality in Quran

Libya’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Sadiq al-Ghariani called on Muslims to support Iran amid the ongoing war with the United States and Israel, warning that foreign military presence in Arab countries brings instability.

Speaking in remarks reported by local media, he framed the war in religious terms.

“There is no concept of neutrality in the Quran… supporting Muslims is a religious duty,” al-Ghariani said.

He added that global powers would “have to pay the price,” urging Muslims to draw lessons from the conflict and seek strength through faith, adding that Muslims should "take heed of these developments and seek dignity only through obedience to God and His Prophet".
