The United Nations said on Monday that more than 150 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip during July, the highest monthly death toll recorded since the start of the year. Speaking at a press conference at the UN headquarters in New York, UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said Israel continued air strikes, artillery shelling and gunfire across Gaza over the weekend, killing civilians, including children. Citing figures from the Palestinian Health Ministry, Haq said more than 150 deaths were recorded during July.
