The Arab League has said Israel must not be allowed to achieve its objective of expanding its occupation of the Gaza Strip, warning against attempts to derail efforts to move to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement. The remarks came in a statement by Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy in response to the escalation of Israeli attacks on Gaza, which the statement said killed 19 Palestinians over the past 24 hours.
