Board of Peace official says Gaza roadmap faces long, difficult process

A Board of Peace official told Al Jazeera on Tuesday that efforts are now focused on implementing the Gaza roadmap but “a long and difficult process lies ahead”.

“Trump’s plan offers Palestinians a better future without Hamas rule and provides security for Israelis,” the official was reported as saying, adding that few had expected Hamas to accept handing power to a technocratic government and giving up its weapons.
