Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on Sunday called for completing the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and implementing agreements reached, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the Board of Peace’s plan for the territory. Abdelatty made the remarks during a phone call with Nikolay Mladenov, the Board of Peace’s high representative for Gaza, according to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry. Netanyahu had rejected the board’s 15-point plan and insisted that Hamas be disarmed before any Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, while the group said it remained committed to implementing the plan.
