'We must not lose sight' of Gaza during war on Iran, German foreign minister says
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said that the current war on Iran should not push the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza aside.
"We must not lose sight of the plight of the more than 2 million people there. The humanitarian situation remains dire," Waedphul said at a press conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday.
He added that there is "insufficient access" for aid workers to enter into the besieged enclave.
The German minister also condemned the rising Israeli settler violence in the occupied West Bank during his discussion with Israeli counterpart Gideon Saar.
