Netanyahu says Israel expanding buffer zone in southern Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli forces are expanding a “buffer zone” in southern Lebanon as operations against Hezbollah continue.

“We have created a genuine security zone preventing any infiltration toward the Galilee and the northern border,” he said in a video statement.

He added that the zone is being widened to push back the threat from anti-tank missiles and establish a broader buffer area.
