Iran gives five conditions for ending war, official tells state TV

An unnamed Iranian official has told state TV that Tehran rejects the US proposal for ending the war, and has instead outlined five of its own conditions. 

"Iran will end the war when it decides to do so and when its own conditions are met," the official told Press TV.

The conditions were: 

• An end to "aggression and assassinations" by the enemy
• Establishing concrete mechanisms to ensure the war is not reimposed on Iran 
• Guaranteed and clearly defined payment of war damages and reparations
• The end of war across all fronts and for all resistance groups in the region
• International recognition and guarantees of Iran's sovereign right to exercise authority over the Strait of Hormuz
