Jordan says expelling Iranian diplomats sends clear message to Tehran

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi said the expulsion of Iranian diplomats sends a clear message that attacks on neighbouring states are unacceptable.

Speaking to state-owned Al-Mamlaka TV, Safadi said Iran has launched dozens of missiles and drones towards Jordan during the US-Israeli war on Iran.

He added that Jordan does not host foreign military bases, rejecting a justification Tehran has used for its attacks, though he acknowledged the presence of forces from “allied and friendly nations” for defence cooperation and training.
