Houthis reiterate support for Iran but will stay on the sidelines

Yemen’s Houthi military group has reiterated its support for Tehran, while saying it is not currently taking part in the US-Israeli war on Iran.

Houthi officials told the Associated Press that any decision to join the fighting would be made independently and not dictated by Iran.

They said the group maintains political and religious ties with Iran, describing it as an ally, but stressed that involvement in the war would be a Yemeni decision.
