Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the United States has failed to achieve its objectives, describing developments around the Strait of Hormuz as “another defeat for the enemy”.    He said exchanges of messages between Tehran and Washington through intermediaries do not amount to negotiations, stressing that Iran is not engaged in any direct or indirect talks with the United States at present. “The messages conveyed through intermediary channels do not mean there is a negotiation process,” he said, referring to ongoing diplomatic efforts to contain tensions. He added that “Iran does not intend to hold talks with America at this time”.
