The Egyptian government has denied reports that a ship carrying materials for military use had docked at Abu Qir port en route to Israel, describing the claims as “false rumours.” In a statement issued Thursday, the Ministry of State for Information said it had reviewed reports circulating in some media outlets and on social media alleging that a foreign vessel had arrived at the Mediterranean port carrying steel used in weapons and ammunition manufacturing.
