US's Rubio tells G7 ministers Iran war should end in 'weeks, not months': Report

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told G7 counterparts on Friday that the US-Israeli war on Iran should end in a matter of "weeks, not months", Reuters is reporting, citing three people familiar with the talks.

At a meeting of G7 foreign ministers in France, Rubio did not ask his counterparts to contribute ships to clear the Strait of Hormuz now but asked them to prepare for a postwar role, the sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
