Air defences down drone near residence of senior Iraqi politician

Air defences have intercepted a drone near the residence of Masoud Barzani in Erbil, security sources told Reuters early on Sunday.

The drone targeted the home of the leader of Iraq's northen region, according to officials. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage following the interception.
