Pro-Palestinian French member of European Parliament denied entry to Canada

Rima Hassan, a French member of the European Parliament of Palestinian origin, said late Saturday she was denied entry to Canada hours before her scheduled flight, Anadolu reports. “I was prevented from traveling to Canada: a troubling obstruction to parliamentary work and freedom of expression,” Hassan wrote on X. Hassan is affiliated with France’s left-wing party La France Insoumise (LFI).
