Lebanon death toll tops 1,200 as Israel vows to ‘change’ north
Lebanon’s Health Ministry says more than 1,200 people have been killed over the past four weeks, as Israeli attacks intensify across the country.
The ministry said the dead include 124 children, with more than 3,500 others wounded.
Over the weekend alone, 49 people were killed, among them 10 rescue workers and three journalists.
Fears are mounting that the toll will rise further after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is “determined to fundamentally change the situation in the north”.
