Asian currencies weaken against dollar amid market volatility
Asian currencies remained under pressure against the US dollar, with South Korea’s won weakening to about 1,515 per dollar, near its lowest levels in years.
The currency has hovered around the 1,500 mark in recent sessions and recently fell to its weakest level in 17 years.
Japan’s yen also showed volatility, trading at about 159 per dollar, while the Singapore dollar slipped to around 1.29.
The movements reflect broader dollar strength and ongoing uncertainty in global markets.
