Israel says it intercepted two drones launched from Yemen

The Israeli military said it intercepted two drones launched from Yemen, as air defences responded to an aerial threat over southern Israel.

Israeli forces said the interceptions occurred shortly after sirens sounded in the Red Sea city of Eilat.

The incident comes amid a widening regional conflict, with Houthi forces in Yemen increasingly targeting Israel with drones and missiles.
