Israeli strikes hit Bekaa Valley as army claims fighters killed in south

Two Israeli air strikes hit the town of Shamshtar in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, Al Jazeera Arabic reported.

Separately, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee said Israeli forces killed fighters in southern Lebanon shortly after they carried out a drone attack.

He said the strike had wounded Israeli soldiers during a ground operation involving the 226th Brigade, adding that troops from the 146th Division responded and killed those responsible within minutes.

The claims could not be independently verified.
