Iran shifts to strategic targets as Hezbollah barrages intensify, reports say

Iranian missile strikes are shifting toward higher-value targets in Israel, even as the number of launches declines, according to reports from the region.

Al Jazeera reported that recent strikes hit key infrastructure, including an oil refinery in Haifa, a chemical facility in Beersheba and a major power station in Hadera.

At the same time, Hezbollah has intensified its attacks, launching large barrages of rockets toward northern Israeli cities including Nahariya, Acre and Haifa.

Reports also indicated multiple impact sites, with some areas experiencing temporary power outages following the strikes.

The escalation comes as Israel remains under a state of emergency, with daily life continuing under heightened security measures. The alert status is expected to remain in place even as Israelis mark the Passover holiday.
