Iran says no decision taken on US talks despite message exchanges
Iran’s foreign minister said Tehran has not made any decision on negotiations with the US and still has reservations.
Speaking to Al Jazeera, Abbas Araghchi said Iran has not responded to any US proposals or submitted its own.
“There is no truth to the claim of negotiations with any party in Iran,” he said, adding that all communications are handled through the foreign ministry and security channels.
Araghchi confirmed that messages have been exchanged with Washington, directly or via regional intermediaries, but stressed this does not amount to negotiations.
“I receive messages from Witkoff directly, as before, and this does not mean that we are in negotiations,” he said.
