US-Israeli strikes hit civilian infrastructure, residential blocks in Tehran

Iranian state broadcaster IRIB reported that several districts of the capital were hit in air strikes, including affluent areas in the north of the city. The report said District 1 was among the locations targeted.

IRIB also said strikes hit residential areas in Tehransar, in District 21 near Mehrabad International Airport, as well as Mofatteh, located south of the airport.

US-Israeli strikes have been increasingly targeting civilian infrastructure in Iran.

Earlier, Iran said a US-Israeli strike on a pharmaceutical facility in Tehran had dealt a “significant blow to the national medical supply chain,” after the site’s production units were destroyed.
