Iraqi armed group warns US against using Kuwait for Iran attack
An Iraqi armed group warned the United States against using Kuwaiti territory to launch a ground invasion of Iran, saying such a move would sharply escalate the conflict.
In a post on X, Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada commander Abo Alaa Al Walae said any such action would turn a “limited battle to all-out war.”
He warned that using Kuwait as a staging ground would be seen as a “breach of regional security boundaries” and could prompt retaliation from Iran’s allies.
Al Walae said the response would follow a “principle of reciprocity,” adding that similar action could be taken in response to Israel’s ground operations in Lebanon.
“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and the one who starts is the most unjust,” he wrote.
The statement came amid growing speculation over a potential US land operation.
