Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the ongoing Israeli-American war on Iran has created what he described as a “rare opportunity” to form a regional alliance with Arab states, according to Israeli media reports. Speaking during a Security Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Netanyahu said that “a rapprochement between Israel and regional states has reached a practical stage,” as reported by the Hebrew newspaper Maariv. He further claimed that Israel is “forming alliances with Arab states that are talking about fighting alongside us,” adding that previous secret discussions with Arab leaders had focused on warning them about Iran’s regional ambitions.
