Australian Prime Minister 'not clear' what more to achieve in war on Iran
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Thursday that original objectives of the war on Iran had been met, adding that it was not clear what more needs to be achieved.
"Now those objectives have been realised it is not clear what more needs to be achieved or what the end point looks like," he said during a speech in the capital Canberra.
"What is clear is that the longer the war goes on the more significant the impact on the global economy will be."
Albanese's comments came after US President Donald Trump gave a highly anticipated speech declaring that Iran will be hit "extremely hard over the next two to three weeks".
