IOM: 1,725 newly displaced in Sudan’s Blue Nile State

The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) reported that 1,725 people have been newly displaced from the city of Qaysan in Sudan’s Blue Nile State, marking the second wave of displacement in recent days due to escalating clashes. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the organisation said its teams recorded the displacement of 345 families on Monday as a result of deteriorating security conditions in the area. According to the IOM, those displaced have fled toward Al-Rusayris city and the Wad Al-Mahi area within Blue Nile State.
