IRGC says it has launched attacks on Amazon centre in Bahrain

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has targeted an Amazon cloud computing centre in Bahrain in retaliation for US attacks, according to state media outlet IRNA.

“This response is the first practical warning to the enemy that if the warnings are ignored and the assassinations continue, we will punish the next companies that we have already announced much more severely, and the responsibility for the complete destruction of these companies in the region lies with the US President himself,” the IRGC told state media.

On Wednesday, Iran threatened to start attacking major US tech firms, including Apple, Google and Microsoft, on a target list released by the IRGC and posted to Telegram.

Iran accused these companies of enabling the US military operations, labelling them “legitimate targets” responsible for attacks against the country.
