Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Thursday that it had targeted an Amazon cloud computing facility in Bahrain in retaliation for US-Israeli attacks, Anadolu reports. In a statement carried by Iranian media, the IRGC claimed that Amazon is among companies involved in “espionage activities and terrorist operations” against Iran. It warned that continued assassinations of Iranian officials would lead to further attacks on other companies previously named in a list issued by the force. On Wednesday, the Financial Times reported that Amazon’s cloud computing unit in Bahrain had been damaged in an Iranian attack.
