Houthis claim missile attack on Israel, vow further escalation

Yemen’s Houthi group said it carried out a military operation using a barrage of ballistic missiles targeting what it described as “vital Israeli” sites.

In a statement carried by Al Masirah, the group said the attack was coordinated with Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon and had “successfully achieved its objectives”.

It said its involvement in the US-Israeli war on Iran would be gradual and could expand depending on developments.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group would respond to escalation or de-escalation accordingly.

Earlier, the Israeli military said it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen.
