Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani on Thursday ordered the strongest possible measures to pursue those involved in targeting vital institutions, diplomatic missions and the kidnapping of foreign nationals. According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office, reported by Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Sudani, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, visited the headquarters of the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency at the Interior Ministry in Baghdad. The statement said he received a comprehensive briefing on the agency’s procedures and its efforts to address current challenges, including attacks on key institutions, diplomatic missions and cases involving the abduction of foreign citizens.
