Japanese LNG tanker crosses Hormuz

A Japanese liquefied natural gas tanker has passed through the Strait of Hormuz, its co-owner Mitsui O.S.K. Lines said on Friday.

The Panama-flagged vessel, Sohar LNG, completed the transit with all crew safe, a company spokesperson told Reuters, declining to give further details on timing or any arrangements that enabled the passage.

Japanese media reported the ship is the first Japanese vessel to exit the strait since the war began.
