The Israeli military warned on Friday it would target bridges in southern Lebanon, with a claim to deter Hezbollah’s activities, military spokesperson Avichay Adraee said on US social media platform X. The army said it intends to target the Sohmor-Mashghara bridges to prevent “the movement of reinforcements and weapons,” urging civilians to move north of the Zahrani River and avoid traveling south for their safety, the source said. In a separate development, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said disarming Hezbollah through military and political means remains Israel’s “ultimate goal,” according to Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
