Saudi Arabia has requested military support from Belgium after being targeted by Iranian retaliatory missiles, Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken said Wednesday, Anadolu reports. Speaking in parliament, Francken said the Saudi military attache in Belgium is holding talks with Belgian authorities to determine how such assistance could be provided, the daily La Libre reported. The minister did not give further details about the potential support. Tensions escalated across the region on February 28 when the US and Israel launched large-scale attacks on Iran that have so far killed over 1,200 people, including Ali Khamenei, the former supreme leader.
