Hegseth claims 'decisive victory' over Iran

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth claimed a "decisive military victory" over Iran in a speech on Wednesday.

Speaking at a press conference with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, Hegseth praised US President Donald Trump for "having made history", claiming that "historic and overwhelming" US-Israeli attacks had "decimated" Iran's miltary.

"President Trump forged this moment, Iran begged for this ceasefire, and we all know it," he said.
