Iranian president says Israeli strikes violate US ceasefire deal

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Israeli strikes on Lebanon would violate the ceasefire agreement and render negotiations with the US meaningless.

The president added that Iran would not abandon the Lebanese people. 

This comes after Israeli strikes killed more than 250 people in Lebanon on Wednesday, in the most intensive attack since Israel’s latest onslaught on the region began last month.
