Iran’s chief foreign affairs strategist dies after US-Israeli air strike injuries

Kamal Kharrazi, head of Iran's Council of Foreign Relations and former foreign minister, has died due to injuries sustained in US-Israeli air strikes during the war, according to Iranian state media reported.

The air strike had killed his wife during the attack on 1 April. 

The key adviser under former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his son and successor Mojtaba Khamenei, Kharrazi is the latest high-profile government figure to be killed by US-Israeli air strikes.
