France has indicated that it may revisit discussions on suspending the EU-Israel Association Agreement following intensified Israeli aggression on Lebanon and ongoing violence in the occupied West Bank. French Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pascal Confavreux said that, given the seriousness of recent developments, Paris “cannot rule out reopening the discussion” on suspending the agreement, as well as considering national sanctions. He linked the potential move to what he described as the scale of Israeli strikes in Lebanon and settler violence in the occupied West Bank.
