Israel bombs Lebanon towns as Hezbollah targets army base

Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on the towns of Jebchit and Kfarsir in southern Lebanon, Al Jazeera Arabic reported. 

An Israeli air strike targeting a residential building in the town of Mayfadoun in the Nabatieh district killed three people earlier today, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency. 

Hezbollah said it fired missiles at the Yaara barracks of the Israeli army in northern Israel. 

The claims could not be independently verified, and there was no immediate comment from the Israeli military.
